For those of you wishing to know where pure balance is manufactured, it is made exclusively for Walmart by Ainsworth Manufacturing here in the USA. Walmart went to Ainsworth and asked them to produce a premium dog food for them. I watched an interview with the biochemist and manager of Ainsworth and it is comparable if not better then most other premium labels. They stated the reason Walmart can sell this food so cheap, is because Walmart does their own advertising. I did slot of research on this as I was concerned about food from “china” etc. this seems to be an excellent brand of food.. You can start watching this interview at the 12:45 mark
Is Pure Balance made in the US? The bag states is distributed for Walmart from AR. But Does not say where the dog food is made at.

Ol'Roy has a bad reputation. Being owned by Mars Pet Food Division, also the makers of Pedigree. In my opinion, big dog food companies like these are only in it for the money and could care less about the health of your pet. The only reason they made the "Pure Balance" dog food is because pet owners are becoming more and more educated about what they feed their pets. Mars Pet Food Division also has had a ton of recalls... They also give little to know information about where their food is sourced from. Now, sometimes the place where it is made matters when it comes to products. But the Pure Balance Dog Food doesn't exactly the state where it was made.

Ol Roy which was made by Doanne (sp?) and subsequently purchased by Mars does not make Pure Balance. They are two entirely different foods. No one that feeds their dogs Pure Balance or even a half way decent food from any other company would feed their dogs Ol Roy by any stretch of the imagination. Regardless of all this controversy, what ever works for someones dog and they and their dogs are happy, healthy and go lucky, then leave them alone and let them feel what they want and what they can afford. I don’t feed my dogs any dry or canned foods but I do understand and acknowledge that in this country, thank the good Lord, we can feed our companion animals whatever works for them, so long as their vets deem them healthy, regardless of what anyone else thinks. I’m a commercial raw feeder to my three dogs but if push came to shove and I was forced at gun point to feed Pure Balance or Ol Roy, I assure you I would be feeding Pure Balance in rotation. Not Ol Roy which is not made by Ainsworth where Pure Balance is. Everyone have a nice evening. Hi Labs,
