The new partnership between Dharma and Bark Avenue is sure to be great and provides an opportunity for folks to get their puppy started off on the right foot with the right training right off the bat. In addition to basic obedience training, Kelley and her staff will incorporate socialization into their puppy training programs (which is always much needed)! The staff is going to be offering “structured socialization” sessions there for dogs of all ages and training backgrounds. This is something new to the Omaha area and something never been done We will have more info on structured socialization soon as well. River City Obedience Training, established in 1986, provides dog training and dog behavior counseling in Omaha Nebraska and surrounding communities. I offer a common sense dog training program with a very important difference. I stress the use of humane, yet tested and reliable methods, with emphasis on educating the owner in “how dogs learn”. Dog training is structured with a strong accent on using positive motivational methods, but is flexible enough to employ the most useful of traditional techniques to best suit the temperaments of individual dogs. No one method works for every dog or situation. This balanced approach means you can train your dog, or modify dog behavioral issues, without unnecessary harshness. For building on the skills learned in Basic Dog Training, more off-leash reliability, and for strengthening the bond between you and your dog. Instruction also provides a solid foundation for therapy dog programs. Also covered will be preparation for the increasingly popular Canine Good Citizen test. This test, for purebred and mixed breed dogs alike, was designed by the American Kennel Club to recognize and promote responsible dog ownership and the well-mannered canine companion. Omaha city ordinance now requires certain dog breeds to pass the Canine Good Citizen test to be exempt from a requirement to be muzzled when in public.River City Obedience Training, established in 1986, provides dog training and dog behavior counseling in Omaha Nebraska and surrounding communities. She and her dog, Ruby, played a big part in my dog's rehab (and my own haha). She helped me with foundation(obedience), assisted with some behavior mod., and went to the beach and park with me and my dog off-leash the first few times which gave meconfidence to do it on my own. She and ruby became really good friends of mine in the short amount of time I spent with them. If you're in theOmaha area and you need a dog trainer, please consider Diana and Ruby.
