One you have to really be a person who really loves dogs and once you obtain and French Bulldog you need to make sure your in for the long haul no matter what. Do research when buying one from the breeder. You need to trying to know what is the health of the parents. Our franchise are a brother and sister and we discovered issues with their spine a year after we had them. Our female had became sick with her blood thickening and during a first time exray they showed we saw a not so good looking spine. We were very worried about. But she 6 years later is doing very well. We learned due to the impact of them jumping off furniture it is a good idea to never ever in the first place begin to put them on the furniture that is to high. Due to the impact of them jumping down this causes problems on their spring and legs. We had to buy stairs and trying them to use them. But we eventually had to remove them and they would just jump of the stairs and now are no longer using the stairs and retraining them to stay in their dog beds on the floor or on a futon mat that we put on the floor to lay with them when watching TV. This way they are not trying to jump up and down on the couch. We ended up having to do this as our male Frenchie, about 1 1/2 years ago jumped off he couch walked for little into the next room and feel to the floor and was not able to get up. We took him to the Vet right away and and exray show injury to his neck but they had to refer us to Vet Hospital at UC Davis for and MRI to be done. The Vet there advised the MRI showed in detail a slipped disc in his neck that was pinching the spinal cord. They had to do emergency surgery to correct the one disc but also did work on the other disc to ensure they would not slip as well and cause problems later on. The cost came out to be around $7,000.00 to fix our little boy so he could stand up again and walk normally. They did an excellent job and we are very happy that our little Jasper is able run, walk, and play again. Thanks to the team at UC Davis. So my advise is keep them from jumping up and down from furniture. The impact on the spine and leg joints it not good for them.

Kuranda Dog Beds suit American Bulldog’s energetic and bouncy personality beautifully because of our highly durable fabric and frame styles. These indestructible dog beds can withstand quite a beating for many years and are very easy to clean, keeping them attractive indoors and out. The elevated feature keeps your American Bulldog from laying directly on the hard ground, allowing for a long, comfortable, and happy life. A Kuranda bed is the perfect place for these muscular dogs to nap! The orthopedic comfort of this raised bed available in 3 heights provides healthy support for English Bulldogs' hips and joints throughout their lifetime. English Bulldogs can enjoy the comfort of this raised bed with fabric choices for both indoors with a soft cordura, and outdoors to stay cool with vinyl weave. English Bulldog owners especially enjoy how easily Kuranda beds can be wiped clean. Our American bulldog was a chewer, so leaving her at home with a regular dog bed just didn't work out. I noticed the Kuranda beds at the doggie daycare that we use once a week. It didn't take any time for her to get used to the bed. She stared at it and sniffed it a lot the first day, but by the next day, she was sleeping soundly on her new bed. It's easy to clean, easy to move and she hasn't tried to tear it apart. Thank you for a great bed! The English Bulldog is a playful and lovable dog that enjoys naps rather than lots of activity. Its body tends to overheat so too much exercise on a warm day is not a good idea. However, they need daily walks because English bulldogs can get overweight easily due to their love for food and laid back personality. This is why this dog needs a very good bed that provides the best support and cushioning, such as the memory foam mattress. Some of these beds come with a cooling gel pad on top to keep the dog’s body with the right temperature during hot weather.
