Many dog biscuit recipes contain ingredients that are not good for dogs – these ones are! Bow Hill Blueberry Powder provides more than a daily dose of antioxidants for our furry friends. Flax seeds provide healthy omega-3 oils that help Fido’s coat gleam. Oats are a fantastic alternative to wheat flour. Treat your pup with the best of a homemade dog biscuit – they will love them! Known primarily for being high in antioxidants, blueberries help protect cells from the harmful effects of free radicals, which are thought to cause cancer, heart disease, and other health problems. They are also high in Vitamin C, and have anthocyanin, B complex, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, zinc, iron, selenium and copper, all of which help maintain and boost the immune system. Their acidic pH can help improve urinary tract health and may help dogs with kidney issues. Their fiber, manganese and Vitamin K all improve heart function and lower stroke risk.
